Tom Brady wins AP NFL MVP

Brady did not play great, but the typical defensive letdown, oh so common in the playoffs the last few years (excluding the Ravens game) is still the main reason for the losses. The inability to get a key stop is frustrating to watch. See the Cotchery catch and run in the 4th quarter of the Jets loss. Also, this would probably all be a moot point if Branch could hold on to a less than perfect pass. It appears that Sanchez can lay a pass out of bounds and Holmes can make a phenomenal catch. I never post, but it is has become tough to read every fan completely blaming Brady. He did not play great, but neither did Big Ben and the Steelers had no problem with the Jets.

Don't forget the offensive line, Giants laid the blueprint and we have made no moves since.

he deserved it but who really cares. i bet he could care less. its about sb trophies.

Tom has said as much. Polite when receiving the NFL MVP but the Lombardi is his true love.

I feel like he could rape these two defenses, averaged 34.5 against them with a good 5 or so TDs, it is bull**** man. We better get it done next season.

Hearty congrats Tom.

amazing season. Shame we're not cheering on our team tonight.
Once in a lifetime player for this team.

More evidence that Tom Brady is the new Peyton Manning.

As cool it is that he is the first ever to win it unanimously, it just makes it more painful for me. I don't care about the damned regular season MVP, it means NOTHING! I want the Lombardi and lucky Brady has the same sentiments. Screw accolades, I'm interested in one thing and one thing only: winning. Your either a winner or a loser, there's no gray.

But I digress, Congrats Tom! Hopefully next year you and the Pats will get the one trophy that matters!

Yeah, okay.

In his last four playoff trips, he:

1) Was a defensive meltdown away from leading a team with a #1 named Reche Caldwell to the Superbowl;

2) Was two minutes away from a perfect season;

3) Came back from major knee surgery and, while missing his best weapon, lost to a better team;

4) Lost his first game after leading a team full of UDFAs, rookies, and retreads to the best record in football.

Manning's had elite weapons (multiple) every year he's been in the league, and has grossly underachieved every year, including the one in which the Colts managed to win the SB despite him being awful during the run.

Hope he can do it for years and years to come... and more years.

Congratulations to Tom.

As far as I'm concerned, Brady left it all on the field this year and took whatever was left to an Operating Room to have his foot fixed. I think every other coach and player has to ask himself whether he left it all there as well.

Hope he can do it for years and years to come... and more years.

I'll be happy with three more at or near this level. With a young defense improving every week, a boatload of draft picks and Bill Belichick at the helm, it should all be enough for his elusive fourth ring to tie Bradshaw and Montana.

Congrats to Tom on a great year. I'm sure he'd trade this in for a Superbowl Trophy any time if he could. But still, not a bad consolation prize. Kinda cool that he's the first to win it unanimously. Big Props up to our Tommy Boy.

Paymetons must be thrilled.

congratulations # 12 !

Congrats Tommy Boy on a great season! Too bad it ended like it did, but I am sure no one is more disappointed than you. Rest up, get Kraft to get the labor agreement done, and be ready to come back for more!!

And it continues, win this award and you will not win the superbowl.

And it continues, win this award and you will not win the superbowl.

Except he lost weeks before he won the MVP.

Therefore, not winning the Superbowl means you will win MVP.

QED.

big deal.....this is meaningless
