I was reading the Browns forums ( bored at work ) & was pretty shocked to read that the majority of them seem to think they have a decent chance of winning this sunday.

Some of their talking points are that the Pats running D is overated cause we havent faced a good rushing team thus far. They think that they should try & smash J. Lewis down our throats & try controlling the clock.

I cant see this happening AT ALL, the Pats have always DOMINATED big bruising backs like Jamal Lewis, the Bus etc. The Pats only seem to sometimes struggle with fast small backs ( & thats rushing out of passing formations, I've never seen any team line up in jumbo type formations & run effectively against us.

I think the key for us on D is to stop K. Winslow, our D has struggled at times this year covering good TE's ( Gates ). If we can prevent Winslow from big plays & jump out to a decent lead, I see the Browns rookie QB really struggling in this game when the Browns become one dimensional on offence.

This is a potential let down game coming off a monday night win, the return of Rodney however should provide a spark & I see the Pats once again putting a hurtin on yet another team ( that once again will be called a bad team, ie "who have we played" )

I have Sunday Ticket & watched that Browns/Ravens game & their QB got real lucky on at least 2 passes that bounced right off of the Ravens LB's hands, the Pats will catch these & return em for TD's.

Pats 41 Browns 10

While I do think the Patriots will win and win easily. If I was a Browns fan I absolutely would think we had a chance to win. They are coming off of two very impressive wins and deserve to be impressed by their team. Any team can win on any given Sunday and the Patriots know this better then anyone. The key to me will be the Hogs vs. DL. Derek Anderson has played phenomenally but he is young and inexperienced, if we can pressure him I think he will make mistakes.

The only thing the Browns have going for them is that their offense is pretty good so far, and this might be a trap game for the Pats.

I doubt that the Pats will be as 'up' for this game as some other games on the schedule, but generally they don't seem to fall victim to trap games. BB will probably show them enough footage of the Browns to get the boys a little nervous about their offense, and that will keep us focused during the week.

In these kind of games, the Pats often come out a little flat but get more and more into the game as it goes along. I imagine it might go like that. Keep things interesting until about halftime.

If the Pats really turn it on, the Browns won't have a prayer. If the Pats come out flat early, then the Browns will be able to stick around until halftime, which is more than the Chargers could muster!

Derek Anderson has played phenomenally
He's made a lot of big plays but also has turned the ball over and has something like the 4th lowest completion percent in the league.

When I read your quote of you quoting me I double-taked. I can't believe I actually typed that sentence, I really meant higher then any's expectations. Though looking at the stats you bring up good points...though many would be deceived about Vince Young's ability if they did the same. In either case, I am not looking past Cleveland especially on a short week. They have proven more this year then any of our previous foes. (again can't believe I am typing this sentence)

So did the Jets, Charger, Bills and Bengal fans

Before you anoint Cleveland a playoff team or anything..... they've beaten the Bengals (barely) and we smoked the Bengals. They also beat the Ravens, who the Bengals also beat.

If we let them score more then 14 and we score less then 34. I'll be disappointed and we seriously underperformed. Can't take them lightly, but this game has to be considered a WIN, particularly at home.

First off, I beleive the Pats will win and win easy. But to look at it from the Brown's side, BB has always had a little (and I say a little) trouble with QB's that he has never faced before and has game film on (ie. Hacklisbergers 1st game against the Pats in Pitt). Facing Derek Anderson may pose a bit of a problem - but I don't believe a very big one. This will be Anderson's first look at real good defense that has a good offense to complement it. Raven's have a good D but their O isn't that good.

Wow, the 90% of that is the Cleveland fans talking football. Compared to Jets message boards where it's 99% pure nonsense, that's a refreshing change.
That's the "Pure Football" board. If you go to "The Watercooler" on the same forum, it's more sloppy

CLE started the season well (probably better then expected) after 4 games but i think that the Pats will win next Sunday

having said that: wellcome back Willie and Romeo !

Huh, that hasn't been my experience. They hope for this to be a trap game (though NE fans know that won't help them). I've yet to see any crazy claims that their players are better than ours (unlike SD fans convinced that Rivers > Brady). Most of them know Cleveland stands no chance but as fans hope they can compete. They're a breath of fresh air compared to some fanbases.

Some quotes from the Browns board:

I think I would try hit all of the receivers at the line to try and throw off their timing and then blitz Brady like crazy.

So you are proposing to have your DBs at the LOS despite their backup defenders rushing the QB? You'd better not have any missed jams.

The prissy ass punk has gotten to the point he doesn't believe he's supposed to get sacked.

In fact immediately after the Bungles executed their first sack on him , Brady tossed up an interception.

Pure causal effect.

Tha line has spoiled him so bad if he suddenly isn't given his inordinate 5 seconds to scan the secondary he'll get flustered , not because he's incapable of operating in the normal 3 second NFL QB window , but because its the Browns , a team that the Patriots will look upon as a lower life form rather than a capable opponnent.

This guy clearly didn't watch the team much last year. And while I do agree that Brady looked more flustered than usual and he did toss an ugly pick, he still ended up with numbers that most QBs can only dream of.

Oh, why would NE look upon Cleveland as a lower life form when they beat the team that NE just faced and are 2-2?

How would I scheme to beat NE?

1) Plant high-grade weed in Brady's luggage pre flight. Extra style points for some box cutters and a copy of the Koran.

2) Supply every super-model in the vicinity with defective condoms, home pregnancy kits and Tom's cell number.

3) Put a guy with a video cam in a Patriots jersey directly across from the Browns sideline. Point him out to both Bill B. and NFL security just before kick off.

4) Unchain RAC and let him eat all the comped meals in the home team's locker room just to rile them up (actually there's probably no need to scheme that).

5) Don't let Jamal Lewis bathe himself starting today. Paint his helmet with lead-based paints. Irradiate him. Pour raw sewage into his jockey shorts. Feed him nothing but black beans and cabbage. Then run him up the middle repeatedly; this should open up the passing game.

6) Hire ex-NBA refs to take the place of regular officials - give them each a few spare flags. Tell them something vaguely Italian sounding like "Merletti wants the game ta go well for da Browns - REAL well if ya know what I mean...."

7) Put Billy B's challenge flag in his sock instead of his belt.

8) Pray. Repeatedly. Sacrifice barnyard animals
