For those of you not aware of this, Seymour, Wilfork, Warren, Green and Hill are all signed through 2009 or 2010. While Hill is still a question mark, what a blessing to have Belichick, Brady and those studs signed for that long. Barring an injury to Brady we almost can't help but be good for the rest of the decade.

I did not realize that, but that is very good news!

We have one of the best defensive lines in football for the next 4-5 years!

Now let's just Branch locked up for 4 years!

Even better, I think Seymour is the oldest of the whole DL group at 26. Football players normally peak in the 26-30 age range. Sweet...

Let's keep all those guys healthy. I missed the pass rush while Seymour was out.

dam what a good feeling

And don't forget the O-line. Most of them are looked up for the long haul as well. Light - 2010, Mankins - 2009, Neal - 2009 and Kaczur - 2009. Koppen is a FA next year. If we can get him locked up then our full o-line and d-line are set for years. It all starts in the trenches.

How would you like to be a Middle Linebacker playing behind this D Line?

If you throw in Asante, Eugene and Ellis (yes, we are on a first name basis), this is the base for a great defense for years to come. Granted the LBs and Rodney are getting up there, but I imagine that they are going to draft either a LB or Safety/CB in the first rd this year. And of course, the team is not in salary cap hell. As good as BB is on the sidelines, he and Pioli have done a great job running the team.

holy crap i didn't know that we had that many good contracts and the salary cap room to play that is amazing no one every team in the nfl is scared

I agree, do you notice a trend here??..along with a HOF QB this seems to be the way that they want to build this team. Also Vrabel, Colvin, Watson and Faulk are signed through '09.
