I get the gist of your comment, but the truth of the matter is that any player the Rats release is a much lesser player than #53 on the Pats. Cutdown day is the only time I, sort of, envy the Rats.

They (the Jets) aren't having to agonize over letting NFL caliber players go, they just cut the guys who suck the most.

The main challenge for Rex and Mike Tannenbaum is to figure out "the guys that suck the most."

I know what I'd do. I'd put all 75 names in a hat, blindfold Tunescribe, spin him around a few times, let him pick 22 names at random, and give the names to the Turk.

As for the 2 guys you mentioned, if they were so great and such upgrades, why'd they get cut by their respective teams? OH. I know. Because they AREN'T that good..

Don't understand the rant about a couple of players who, in this case are classified as LB's making the team. BB always has a place on the team for players who excell on special teams. Slater is a WR, and White is a LB. If the Pats acquire another player who sucks at LB or WR, but beats them out on special teams, they get cut.
