Considering we got bounced out of the playoffs the last two consecutive seasons, it's amazing AD and Moss and Stallworth and Washington and Morris and Welker all still wanted to come and play with us...
.

lol. of those guys, only Moss is considered a truly elite player.

it's not "amazing" at all that they still wanted to come and play with a team that went to the final 4 last year. I mean, Kelley Washington was lucky WE took HIM.

Re-read your own whine, buddy. You were lamenting veteran FA's not wanting to come here if we are no longer elite...

It's amazing how so many of you enlightened anti-homer geniuses fail to see or appreciate or remotely grasp what is and has been unfolding right under your snotty little upturned noses for several seasons now...

no, I talked about prime guys signing below market deals. Moss, AD. then you brought up Welker and Washington and Morris, who any team could have had at a similar price. those are basically system guys - they look great b/c they are on a great team. Moss is a difference maker.

guys signing below market deals with us will only continue if we continue to be an elite team. This is largely dependent on drafting well. there is a large skill in drafting, but also a lot of luck, and if things turn bad for a couple of years, that will really hurt us. ie if we can't replace Asante and Bruschi and Seau, we're not the best team in the league anymore
What a bunch of bull.
