I'm so curious after hearing all the players talk about practice without the coaches. Brady's personal camps and tryouts. The Brady way. Should our qb classroom this year be practicing with ALL the receivers prior to camp individually? Running Van Pelt plays? I expect this! You guys will never be Tom but you should work as hard. NO DAYS OFF!

I don't think Tom started those until later in his career. By then he knew the offense better than anyone could. I wonder if this would be as beneficial with a rookie?

I don't think that's true. In one of his interviews he said he would go with some players on his third string offense and practice after training camp plays ran. He was doing this independent training right from his rookie year.

This sounds like after training camp practice when coaches were available. His personal camps were held during points in the off-season when players weren't allowed to interact with coaches like that.

And to be clear I obviously agree more QBs will and should follow Brady's example. Just might be a little soon to ask a rookie to go do it without coaches.

Yes. I assuming Brady had non league meetups that he will never tell us. I'm sure Brady 3rd string team elevated him to second team reps then ultimately partial first team reps. Would love to ask Charlie Weis what he saw and heard??
