If you think he was going to play to that contract, you haven't been paying attention to the news coming out of Texas.

And that is probably the root of this whole thing. The Texans saw another protracted holdout on the horizon and didn't see themselves overpaying for Hopkins, which is what he clearly wanted.

No it’s not. He was great then. Injuries have slowed him down. Bad OL has hurt as well. But just watching him the last 2 years he didn’t look anything close to that rb in 2017.

Don’t toss stats my way that show he ran for 900 yards on a 3.6 ypc average and pump it up as some great thing. He was meh in 2018. Take it from someone who watched the guy play, he wasn’t the same player. Wasn’t as elusive, wasn’t breaking as many tackles.

Yes I’m acknowledging he was hurt last season with an ankle. But he wasn’t exactly lighting the world on fire before that. Then go compare Johnson’s numbers pre injury with drakes. Drake average a full yard and 1/2 more per carry with the cardinals. After DJ returned from injury he was relegated to backup because of how drake was running. Arizona’s GM should get a medal for potentially signing Drake to a cheaper deal than DJ and shipping out the current backup rb for a #1 wr.

This is nuts. I was rooting for him at first but he's made some gods awful moves lately. How O'B still has a job is beyond me. Unprepared, dumb move after dumb move.

Watson has to be thinking about getting out of there. Especially if what Irv said was true. Who tf is O'B to criticize anyone? Especially his own, arguably best player on the team, in this way.
