My top 5 receiving options I’d draft

1. Hunter
2. Warren
3. Golden
4. McMillan
5. Egbuka
If you're doing that.

1) Hunter
2) Golden
3) Arroyo
4) Bond
5) Egbuka

Just based sheerly on receiving skills (and readiness to go Day 1).

“Yikes”, that’s what the kids tell me

I’m holding you to the fire here with Golden. What film suggests he has skills and readiness to go day 1?

Arroyo is a mash unit though I will feel sympathy for the team that selects him in the second.

I just noticed that McMillan had 1,319 receiving yards last year while his team had a total 2,975. He accounted for 44% of the passing game. That has to count for something. He must have been double teamed like crazy.

Don't mention that to the left over BB WR Scouts on Patsfans.com. You might hit a nerve.

There are none. Fools think that just because he had a great 40 time he is a superstar. They have never seen him disappear for games at a time, or his inconsistency. He is a good WR and worth a 2-3 round pic as WR2.

I understand the need for LT but they’ve thrown a ton of darts over the years at WR. King Tet would be a good pick.

We need O-linemen more than we need yet another middling WR prospect. We have - what? - thirty of them at this point? You have a far better chance historically of an unexpectedly good result drafting WR's in the middlish rounds than you do drafting a positive surprise at OL, certainly a LT, in those rounds. We should draft accordingly, which would include passing on any WR draftee with the 4th pick. I think we need to drop this fanboy obsession with the WR position and get the basics of a functioning team - nothing more basic than line play - in place first. We certainly should not waste resources on a "proven" (i.e. expensive and soon washed-up) WR who will be done for by the time the team is actually competitive in a couple years.

One hears talk (Cowherd, e.g.) about the Pats being "competitive" this year, even "in the playoff hunt." This is utter nonsense, and such a hope - delusion - should play no role in any drafting or trade decisions. This will be at least a two-year rebuild, and decisions should be made on that basis, not on fans' need for immediate gratification.

They are better of shoring up the LT position this year and using a 1st rounder next year on a wr.

Might become a solid WR, see Tee Higgins, in that worth the #4 overall?

No is the answer.

Hard disagree man

Tee Higgins-rejuvenated is well worth the 4th pick
