Just wait until other teams that now suffer because of this bullshite play those rat-bastard Colts.....The martyr may get punished by the gullible public opinion and NFL puppets but in those locker rooms and on the field the rat gets his.....

The rules maybe there but every team does this so let's not be naive,

Why does it happen everytime the Pats succeed some wanker cries wolf....we can't enjoy anything

But the 2000lb elephant in the room that no one wants to talk about is still this: Those footballs were examined and passed for play by the officials. They were in the official's care until just before the start of the game, when they were given to the team's ball boy(s) and placed in a large blue bag. The ONLY persons who could access those balls were the ball boy(s) and the refs.

There are cameras all over Gillette. Besides the ones used to film the game, and the broadcast ones, there are security cameras watching all of the sidelines, the end zones, the tunnels, the stands, etc. There are probably more cameras there than in a casino. How anyone could possibly tamper with those footballs is beyond me.

At halftime, those footballs remain in the possession of the ball boys and on the sidelines. They don't come in with the rest of the team. If the equipment manager came over with a pressure gauge and a needle and started to uniformly remove air pressure by 2psi, SOMEONE would have noticed. There are still scads of reporters in the booths who would see it. Security people who would see it, etc.

So deflating the balls at halftime isn't likely to have happened.

The only thing left is that the officials accepted the balls prior to the game with a reduced pressure and failed to inspect any of them. It's the only thing that makes any sense at all.

The equipment manager probably knew that Brady liked a softer football

Who says Brady likes a softer football? A couple other NFL QBs said it's *harder* to throw a spiral with a deflated football...

Or, as been pointed out before, the balls were put in a heated room or heated up somehow prior to giving the balls to the Refs to inspect. The refs inspect and everything goes fine. The refs then give the balls to the ball boy and he takes the balls to the sidelines. Out in the cold, the balls cool down greatly thus giving lower PSI in the balls.

This is NOT illegal, I believe. It's only illegal if they tampered with the balls after the ref inspection.

I do not believe that the Pats tampered with the balls after the refs inspected them. Too many people and cameras around the ball boy for that to happen.

The Pats heating up the balls prior to inspection is a real possibility though. But I have a hard time believing that as well as Brady's stats were better when the proper balls were placed in the second half.

Only thing we can do now is wait for the full report.

And why is the 12-13.5 PSI rule in place? If it is easier to play with a 10 PSI ball, play with a 10 PSI ball. Want to make the kicking game harder, make them play with a 5 PSI ball.

Until there is evidence that the Pats deflated the balls, I think this is bogus. I still have a feeling this is going to end badly for the Pats, I really do.
