Did I miss something?

First post, but I've lurked here for a very long time. This caught my attention too this weekend. Kluwe stated that Manning, Brees, Mankins and someone else asked for $10M to have their name listed. I'm assuming this is what eventually became known as Brady vs. NFL. Wonder if Brady just told them 'I don't care about the money, you can use my name'.
