Who do we want in this game? I know conventional wisdom would say always root for the NFC over an AFC contender, but if Denver wins then goes on to beat the ravens in 2 weeks and we all end in a 3 way tie the Baltimore tiebreaker over us becomes irrelevant. Otherwise Baltimore needs to lose 2 more games than we do for us to overtake them. Thoughts?

I had a dream Friday night that we lost the Super Bowl to the Bucs.

I'll be cheering for the Bucs.

My cats breath smells like cat food.....

Anyway, The Ravens remaining schedule isn't easy so I'm not sure they'll only lose 1 more game to Denver. they still have Washington and Cincinnati on the road as well as Denver and the Giants at home. They could easily lose 2 of those. The Broncos schedule is a cupcake other than Baltimore. We can't assume the 13-3 tie so we have to root for Tampa. We really don't want to be in a situation where we have to play Denver in Denver as a 4 seed, 2006 redux with regards to Manning.

Is this a serious question? Tampa Bay all the way.

Denver will not beat the Ravens.

Go Tampa!

I want the Bucs to win. I am not worried about a potential three game tiebreaker at this point. The Ravens have a tough schedule down the stretch and could lose two or even three games before the end of the season. So this hypothetical three way tie could be more likely at 12-4 than 13-3.

I still think the Pats have a shot at the #1 seed. It is a long shot. But with the way the Texans have been playing over the last month and a half, it is definitely possible they lose to the Pats and one other team.

Always root against Denver regardless.

OK, that's a trick question.

Ok, I know. I always root against Denver too and my instinct is to continue to do the same here. I will be rooting for Tampa this afternoon. But I do believe that there is a legitimate reason to consider rooting for Denver and at the very least it will be my silver lining if Denver does win the game.
