Tailgate lots delayed open?

Does anyone know what happened with the Pats parking lots today? Several pats lots we're "closed" until others filled up, which has never happened before and appeared to cause massive backups onto route 1. I don't know why the change, but it really screwed up parking and tailgating.

I never park in the stadium lots. I’d rather park in one of the private lots and walk a little farther. It is so much easier to get out of the lots after the game. And many of these lots you can show up at 6am if you want.
