Steve Gregory has a broken thumb

Hope we see him back soon. Been very solid this season.

My thumb was totally immobile in a cast for two months. When it came out, my thumb was skinnier and weaker. Football season was over. If I had to play football, I would have kept the cast on even after the bone healed. It was my right hand and so I had to do homework left handed. My thumb was covered in the cast, my four fingers were outside the cast. The cast itself came down over half my forearm. I guess he can claw at people like wolverine, or get used to trying to make one handed interceptions. But he can still be very effective. You can still tackle, break up passes. Club people over the head.

Thanks! Clawing like a wolverine and grabbing one-handed INTs should be good to watch as long as we get a W.

Looks like most reporters are indicating that he will miss a few weeks. Bummer.

In related news, Ninkovich was present at practice today. That's definitely good news.

The important thing is that Gregory maintains his ability to hitchhike, so he can head down to Florida to recuperate in a warmer clime.

Re: Tavon Wilson and Jake Bequette futures?

<snip>

Jake Bequette I put on here for two reason; the first being that I am jealous of him as he has my dream job, he is making $480K and he gets to watch every Patriots game from the sidelines, hangout with the players and even gets to play football with them sometimes during the week. The second reason is he is an enigma to me; he seems to be best Taylor Price reenactment which is odd to me, Price was a receiver so there was always a belief his ADHD prevented him from picking up the offense, even if Bequette had something mental like that I don’t think it is as reasonable to say that about a defensive end. So what is his deal, are we all just patiently awaiting the second coming of Gino Marchetti or is he just a really good conversation to have on the sidelines?

BB see's something in Bequette that we're missing. Many, including me, never understood what the purpose of Ninkovich was, he played because we stank on "D" and needed a halfway decent body (or so I thought). Sticking with Ninkovich turned out very well. Now, we're sticking with Bequette and, as before, with Ninkovich (and Vrabel long before him) we'll have to wait and see if he continues to develop ........ of course, he basically only plays in practice (mostly). I'm going to give the Coaching Staff the benefit of the doubt, based on their previous track record. At least he's not injured.
