Yeah, I read or heard that stat somewhere yesterday, it's alarming. I'd like to see a stat about average 1st down yardage against the Pats defense too. Thinking back to the games played so far - and in particular, the Dolphins game - opponents seemed to constantly be in very good shape on 2nd down. In other words, the lack of success defending 3rd down can be traced back to the lack of success defending 1st down, in my opinion.

Yeah were not goin to win alot of games letting the opponent convert half of there 3rd downs, especially only scoring 16pts a game.
