Standup move by the Saints – sign former Tulane safety Devon Walker

This is a great story, and a standup move by the Saints. Walker was paralyzed from the neck down after a collision with his teammate back in 2012. The Saints signed him to a contract and he is at their rookie mini camp. Personally, I hope the keep him on injured reserve and let him be part of the team for an entire season, but even if it only for the weekend much respect to Sean Payton and the Saints.

I applaud them for this gesture....spinal cord injury was the only thing that really scared me playing football...go from completely healthy to disabled for life, overnight

Nice move by NO, similar to what Tampa Bay did during the 7th round of the NHL draft
a few years ago for a MN high-schooler who was discovered to have a heart defect that
would not allow him to play pro-level hockey.
