PATRIOTS SOURCE: TOM BRADY WILL BE TRADED TO SAN FRANCISCO

Tom Brady has played his last game as a New England Patriot and will be traded to the San Francisco 49ers, a source with ties to the Patriots organization has told Sportsimproper.com.

According to a Patriots official, the condition of Brady's injured knee
is worse than has been previously reported and will probably require further surgery. As a result, Brady will miss the entire 2009-2010 season. Brady would be 33 at the beginning of the following season (2010-2011) and the Patriots simply cannot wait that long for their superstar quarterback to return to form.

Don't even give that site hits, don't click the link.

Is this a gag or is it an honest attempt at a report?

I'll leave it for y'all to pass judgment, but I'm fairly sure this is the same site that said:

"TOM BRADY WILL NEVER PLAY AGAIN"

As best as I can tell from the site, it is a legitimate sports blog and not satire, although I am not particularly confident in why they would have inside sources others would not have.

However, they are Boston based, so it is possible they have an inside source.

Agreed. In fact I'd be in favor of suggesting the thread be deleted. If there's any truth this will be all over legitimate media soon.

Sites like this need to be ignored or destroyed IMO.

doesn't belong in the only thread for talking
about Tom Brady being traded????

unsubstantiated threads like this about Tom should be banned. IMO.

Co-signed. Between the so-termed sensationalist "lynching" and this,I feel like I'm reading the Inside Track but worse

its dumb, but the article itself is reasonably well written

its dumb, dumber than the screams of censorship by other fans, but not by much

The said Brady would never play again.

Now they say this. It's dumb not to solicit hits for an idiot site like that?

Frankly, this needs to be sent to Florio at PFT. If he posts it the football world will go bazonkers (even though I'm pretty positive the site is bogus).

this rumor goes great with the trade brady thread!

only on patsfans.com

These are the same morons who had a doctor associated with the Patriots declare Brady's career being over. They are still sticking to the bogus story that Brady is definitely out in 2009 and now think that the 49ers would trade for a guy who definitely won't play in 2009 and may not play again ever? What would the Pats get in return? A conditional seventh round pick.

These guys are jokes and are Barstool Sports for Dummies. The premise of this story defies logic. Why would the Patriots trade Brady when his value is at his lowest? Why would the 49ers trade for a QB who is at least another season away from playing and may not possibly play ever again (this moron's contention)?

Seriously, how would a nobody like this get scoops over higher profile, well connected guys in the Patriots organization like Michael Smith, Tom Curran, etc. Not even the doom and gloom of Curran's piece went nearly as far as this moron's piece. If this guy is actually getting information from inside the Pats' organization, it has to be from someone who hates him and is trying to make him look foolish with ludicrious stories.

This thread will not be deleted. However it will be sent to the Practice Squad forum.

Tomase and the Herald...

They are a fledgling Barstoolsports.com wannabe. Why would they have connections that well connected guys like Curran, Michael Smith, Mike Reiss, etc wouldn't. Have you looked at Mike Marzano's bio. He looks about 25 yet he claims to have 15 years of columnist and editor experience (how much do you want to bet that 4 of those years were high school and another 4 was college?) yet doesn't list one publication he wrote for.

They are from the Boston area.

If one of the people on their staff was in the same college frat as someone who works for the Pats. If one of the people on their staff was a high school buddy with someone who works for the Pats. Etc.
