Howdy,

Been reading and enjoying everyones posts so far this week with the exception of the SD fans.

I think the front 7 will do just fine at containing LDT. Not stopping him but containing him. What really worries me is the Pats ability to cover Gates. Our corners have played well this year but who is going to cover Gates? He can probably outleap any of them. Maybe getting to Rivers is the key here. I don't see anybody on the Pats D being able to cover Gates 1 on 1. Can our safeties or linebackers get the job done?

Game planning. Some have mentioned keying on LDT like Faulk in the SB. I don't agree with this. The Pats offense has to control the ball and the clock like they have done against the Colts. Keep LDT and Gates on the sideline.

Getting a lead: Obviously taking the crowd out of the game and forcing SD to put the ball in Rivers hands. Teams have been able to score against the SD defense this year. A close to the vest grind it out game plays right into the Chargers strengths.

Harrison being out is a HUGE factor this week. Can the back-ups get the job done this week?

Exactly my thoughts. too. We need to come out,. right from our first posession, and be very agressive, not be conservative and try to ram the ball down their throats.

Loosen them up, from the getgo, with some quick slants, some quick outs, and then a deep post off of play action.

Take them out of the box, force their linebackers to think, even for one extra second, and then hit them with an aerial attack...BUT NOT FROM THE SHOTGUN...... That telegraphs the type of play..... but yu are correct....

A close to the vest, grid it out game, will play INTO their hands.... Josh McDaniels holds the key to victory this week, IMO.

I guarantee there will be shotgun and it will be very productive. you'll most likely see a rb on brady's left side.

a few draws out of the shotgun will be helpful too.

If Tom Brady has enough time to pass, we have a chance to win.

I guess I did contradict myself. Control the ball, put points on the board and limit SD's possessions. Hopefully that will result in a 2-3 score lead in by the 4th quarter. A half similar to the Ravens-Pats game a couple years ago I don't want to see.

As long as it's the second half, I'm all for it.
