Remember when all off season one of the big talking points for people was that the Patriots fumbled at a seemingly impossible low rate and that must be because of under inflated balls being easier to carry? Well here are the numbers.
Last season we had 13 all purpose fumbles. This year we had 14.
Last season our running backs fumbled once. This year they fumbled twice.
Last season Brady fumbled 6 times. This season he again fumbled 6 times, while being sacked and pressured at a much higher rate.
Our receivers fumbled less this season than last season. I don't have the exact number off hand.
We had 4 fumbles on punt returns. Much more than last season. HOWEVER as we all now know the kicking balls are under the control of the refs and always have been. So they can be thrown out.
So after everything we had just one more fumble than last season.
So that's something.
