i say sign X and Devers, then focus on pitching. while doing that, remain "interested" in Judge to drive up the price.

The Sox should drive up the cost for the Yankees, but should the Sox sign him? He'd be ridiculous in Boston. He hits for power anywhere, but they'd be wise to get a fleet-footed RF so that they can put Judge in LF. Think Jim Rice, but 3x better.

Sign Aaron Judge. Right.

This ownership isn't going all in on some guy that would be a legend when they can nickel and dime for some Japanese nobody that will hit .270 with a decent OBP. Judge would have been a legendary signing, stealing him away from the Yankees. Instead, they are stuck in the shallow end of the pool. They're the eff'n Kansas City Royals.
