Richard Seymour managed to get a ridiculous contract 2 years ago.
I believe he is being paid close to 9 million dollars a year.
Last year the excuse was that he was never healthy.

What was the reason today?

Say what you want about MC, but he's only making 740K

Of course there are others on defense, but no one making the kind of dollars that RS is

Yes use a day that the entire defense sucked to single out one player... Awesome. Games 1 and 2 never happened either.

He did really well in the first 2 games... and he had one key play in this one with the batted third down pass. He can't dominate every game.

That one player makes more than the rest of the defense combined.
Sorry I didn't see an all pro performance in bgames 1 or 2 either did you

Seymour will be moving on once his contract is up.

He will looking for a raise.

Belichick may have a problem with that.

Do you know his assignment today?? If you did not know it changes from game to game, as the Dolphins offense changed dramatically and 10 other guys pooped the bed, why blame one guy?? Even if he had what you consider a statistically significant game, would it have made a difference..

This discussion happens all the time on this board, remember last year when there was a lot of threads about how bad #93 was playing.. then BB did his press conference and one of the media folk asked how was RS playing, and BB said in very glowing terms for that particular game.. even though we all thought he stunk.. that he played his best game in something like 2 years.. to judge one player in the context of a very poor showing of the D, without knowing his assignment begs the issue.

On the plays I saw he was owned by Jake Long - guy looks a real stud

x2..
He was pretty dominate in the first two games if you watch him. He is much more explosive and powerful than last year. Is he worth the money? Not my call.

The entire D didnt show up yesterday

Posted by someone who obviously does not know how much Adalius Thomas, Warren, Green, Bruschi, Vrabel, and Harrison are making.

Despite the pressure on Farve last week, AD has not looked good in pass coverage.. I could be wrong on that, that maybee its a communication problem with Mayo, but from what I see is having some trouble in pass coverage.

Stop reaching in my mouth and taking words!!!
