So, in looking at the crowd, did anyone go to work today?

This may sound like a compliment, but Robert Kraft reminds me of Wayne Gretzky. A really nice, personable, thougthful, successful, goodhearted man.

Yet, with one galaxy-sized blind spot. In Gretzky's case, I realize he never played against him, but when somebody mentions the fact that Bobby Orr was totally better than him (no shame in it, the same can be said for anybody else) his response, instead of saying, "Yes, I know, it's true, thanks for keeping my feet on the ground!" he says:

"Oh, you must be from Boston." Then, he writes in his book about "Coffey and Orr." "Coffey and Orr." "Orr and Coffey." If you believe that plus/minus statistics are any indication of a player's value, I suggest simply looking up the all-time leaders relative to their games played.

As for Kraft, he's his typical self this morning at the rally, blasting away touting Ty Law while the late Julius Adams is nowhere near Pats' HOF induction under the present (online voting...sigh) system; and shouting about "Since Nineteen Ninety-Four, Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah....."

Well guess what, I can cite statistics too. Minus Tom Brady, the Patriots road playoff record from 1960-1992 is 4-4. Which is better than the Kraft-ownership records of Bledsoe era: 0-3; and even Brady era: 3-4.

It's just annoying how the guy pretends we're the Ravens or some other worthless expansion team with zero history and nothing to honor or be proud of. Before 1994, that is.

Yes, I got to Gillette at 6 o'clock this morning, was right up against the crowd barrier.

Once it was done I was able to get to work by 11:30.
