Semi-OT: Zach Thomas placed on IR

As if things weren't bad enough for the 'lphins (granted, he'd missed five games, but still):

MIAMI -- If the Miami Dolphins are to win a game this year, they'll have to do it without Zach Thomas.

The seven-time Pro Bowl middle linebacker was placed on injured reserve against his wishes Tuesday, meaning he'll miss the rest of the season. He has been sidelined the past five games because of nagging migraines.

"I'm disappointed with the decision," Thomas said in a statement released by the Dolphins. "I expected to come back this season, and still think I can. However, I respect the team's decision and look forward to playing next year."

he was one of the bright spots for the team...and basically has been able to do so little...I wonder if his career is ober now?? migraines...concussions...sad..he was a great backer..

Poor Zach. Its a good move by Dolphins imo. No reason to further humiliate player that contributed big time for Phins.
