ESPN's Adam Schefter said on the Mike and Mike radio show Friday morning that he believes Greg Olsen is on the trading block.

The Bears have agreed to a deal with blocking tight end Brandon Manumaleuna and everyone knows Olsen is not a fit in offensive coordinator Mike Martz's system. The Bears have been rumored to want a second-round pick in exchange for Olsen.

A second rounder for Olsen.

Not a real need in this offense, the TE is the last option in our scheme. Use a #2 for a real WR.

I wouldn't waste a #2 on Olsen, just draft a big blocking TE in the draft in Round 4 and use that #2 to real in a Boldin or Marshall.

None are on the roster anymore... Greg Olson would be a upgrade.. but dont want to give up a 2 for him, would rather give that to Zona for Bolden..

I do agree with you to certain extent, they are not going to pay big money for either of those guys..

I say make the deal. The Pats have been trying to get a big time receiving TE for years. Watson just didn't work out even with McDaniels and Belichick trying to make him a focal point of the offense in 2006 (even before the who Branch thing, that was all the talk in the preseason). He just was never consistent enough.

I think this offense would utilize a TE if he was a consistent receiver. In fact, the short passing game that they like to run could be even more effective with a consistent receiving TE. The problem was Brady didn't trust Watson because he would drop the easiest catches (although he was also capable of catching balls you wonder how he caught them).

Just send Sea Bass down the seam...end of problem

Brandon Manumaleuna (sp?) has signed a 5 year deal with Chicago. Olsen is now on the block according to Schefter.

I would only give up a #4 for him, too bad we pissed away that #3 on Burgess, that would have been a nice chip to use on Olsen. He's not worth a #2.

Huh. So I guess Scheffler is no longer content being a middle of the road tight end, and has instead decided to become a middle of the road talking head?

AZ only requires a third rounder. Olsen is a major need as of yesterday and a TE would work if you had one that can catch. Graham and Watson were not that. Thomas was supposed to do that and struggled until N.O. We even had to use Vrabel as a TE with Watson and Graham on the roster!!!!!
Yes we use the TE if TB has confidence. Wiggins was a major contributor catching the ball in our first SB win and those playoffs.
