SB 59 Chiefs vs Eagles

This Eagles team is better than their 2022 team. The talk leading up to that Super Bowl for two weeks was how the Eagles didn't play any good teams and their defensive stats were empty. On the other side this Chiefs team is worse than their 2022 team.

If you live and die by the X Factor than its Mahomes. But everything else is really on the Eagles side roster wise, and their defense in particular is much better with a far better DC with Vic. In terms of offensive skill position players the Eagles have the better pass catchers and the better run game by FAR.

It also helps that the Eagles have a lot of star power who were on the team for that SB loss and so have experience of going to and playing in the game. We all know how that matters and the Pats often feasted on teams who were "happy to be there" as the cliche goes.

Eagles should win. Will they? I can only hope.

Now all those people who thought 4 is better than 7 need to STFU.

I'll entertain Staubach > Mahomes

Terry Bradshaw 4-0

Aikman 3-0

Starr

Manning at 2-2 and having to deal with us, the Steelers and Ravens

This is fun I like this game lol

That's what getting blasted not once, but twice, on the big stage does. If everyone thought the GOAT talk was premature, get ready for the tumble out of the Top 5 if they can't get back.

And it's no guarantee. He's been....above average the last couple seasons, if we're being generous.

I mean Hurts is closer to Mahomes than Mahomes is to Brady lol

Yes and with that above average play he went to the SB back to back. The AFC should be ashamed of themselvss

Eagles proved tonight that having dominant OL and DL are the clearest path to getting to and winning the SB. You can not scheme around dominant line play.
elite WRs won't accomplish much without a dominant OL.
Everyone knows this (including the Chiefs). Physically massive, talented and imposing LT, RT, and DT's will continue to be the most sought after players in draft trades and free agency.

Patriots should place huge emphasis on finding big, tough and technically sound lineman. Once these positions are filled...the skill players become much easier to plug and play.

Thank goodness

Pretty much. It feels like the AFC of my youth, bunch of sad ****s competing to get blown out by the NFC champion on the big stage.

Tbf I would still put Mahomes over a lot of those guys.

Aikman has as many as Mahomes, but he went to less and he will be the first one to tell you that he was really just there to keep the ship steady and make a few plays if they absolutely needed it. He also was never sniffing MVP's like Mahomes and other GOAT contenders.

Manning has 2 Super Bowls, but he played like hot garbage in both of them, had a blowout while leading the most productive offense of all time in a SB, and threw a game ending pick six in a Super Bowl. He also had another all time offense in 2004 end it's season in a blowout. The 5 MVP's help Manning, but it's really hard to say Mahomes who is 3-2 is worse. Also let's be real, aside from 03 and 04, he didn't have to deal with us. Mahomes lost to us once as well and also was denied another Super Bowl against a Brady led team.

I think Terry's underrated as all hell, but even he wouldn't make that argument.

In the modern era it's

1. Brady
2. Montana
3. Mahomes and you can make a sort of argument for Manning.

It's really hard to push Mahomes lower unless you start bringing in guys like Graham pre SB and the game is so different that it's barely a comparison.

of course its not mahomes fault now

Let's be fair, Alex Smith was Mahomes' mentor and is going to try to soften the blow for him in the media. I really wouldn't expect him to lay in to him on national tv after a big loss

That went on for about a dozen years!

I was explaining that to my fiancée

All things people tried to throw at us before Brady got his 4th. Mahomes should have to answer to them too.

I don't disagree with you. That said, I think that really applies when you compare Mahomes to Brady or Montana. That was the discussion before.

I however am not going to hold him to that when comparing him to Peyton Manning whose all time best SB performance still resulted in him throwing a game ending pick 6.

just like the TB super bowl lmao. who didn’t see this coming? if Mahomes loses, it’s everyone else’s fault
