In case you were wondering why Barkley had such a phenomenal year.
Eagles OL is MASSIVE at all positions and should be able to dominate an undersized )relative to Eagles) Chiefs DL especially as game progresses. I do not think there is anything Chiefs can do to shut down the run.
Mahomes will have to have an amazing game for them to win
Spags is a genius but there are some aspects that can not be overcome by scheme

Barkley ran roughshod over some bad defenses and teams with no QB like the Giants and Jags.

The Steelers have a defense on the lighter side and Barkley had a terrible day vs them. I find it hard to believe that Mahomes is this close to his goal to come up short.

Hard to argue. Reid has really grown as a coach. My knock on him used to be horrible clock management late in games, but he seems to have grown out of that. He also surrounds himself with excellent support personnel. The results can't be disputed. He isn't past BB yet for GOAT but I could see that happening well before Mahomes passes Brady.

Don't forget Bill holds a significant head to head over Reid having beat him in a SB and a conference championship.

They are coming extremely fast but they are still only about halfway there.

Montana's career didn't last as long as Brady's. So that 4-0 record, while great, didn't have an opportunity to get to 4-2 or 4-3. You know why else he didn't get more chances to lose? Because he missed the postseason multiple times in the 80's. In addition to going one and done three straight years. Brady played so long that the odds were higher to have a Tyree incident or his best CB being benched for no reason really.

If Joe Smith is drafted in the NBA. And wins 3/4 NBA titles over a span of 11 years, while going one and done in the other years, will we all say Joe Smith>LeBron? After all, one loss is better than having six losses. Ignoring LeBron won 4 titles of course.

Another thing I hate...Brady faced stiffer competition. Montana never faced the equivalent of the 02 Rams, 04 Eagles, 2014 Seahawks etc.

I didn't make up the standard. I'm just going by what happened when Tom was 4-2 and had the historic 18-1.

Based on that standard I think it's fair to say 4-1 is not enough even if 3 of them occurred consecutively.

That and the NFL just stinks. They have been “ripe for the picking” for the last 3 years. This KC team would’ve been a Wild Card elimination had they played teams 5-10 years ago.
