No-one did, it's just a weird board thing that's been going on for a while, those edit messages are added randomely.

When it happened another year with Light fielding the punt, BB later talked about how that challenge got people talking to Light and coaching him who normally wouldn't ever talk to him.

A little different situation today, but BB always makes the most out of these opportunities.

I also think it's telling that this didn't happen during a Grammatica kick.

I'd be curious to know how long a "short field goal" is. How much pressure did BB put on the kid. Did he give him something that was an 65% chance or a 95% chance. There's upsides and downsides to both, but it would be interesting to know what BB did.
