[Pessimistic Pete]

Pete Carroll is the second best coach in the NFL right now and by a wide margin. Obviously in 1998 he was not. The guy basically built one of the greatest defenses in the NFL over a 4 year span.

1 Super Bowl Championship
2 NFC Championships
6 out of 8 years in playoffs (At least 1 playoff win in all 6 of those seasons)

Very impressive resume with Seattle, not to mention the fantastic drafting (Wilson, Sherman, Thomas, Chancellor, Okung, etc.)
