Nice long profile in today's Globe. My favorite part is the tale of how he was hired:

"Bill Belichick was entering his second season as Patriots head coach and had made a deal with one of his assistants, Brian Daboll. If Daboll could recommend a capable coach to take over his internlike duties, there was a chance Daboll could make the upward move from coaching assistant to position coach.

Daboll recommended McDaniels, whom he had worked alongside at Michigan State in 1999."


So that's how you add new twigs to a coaching tree!

Goes to show that reiss has access to info and the pats coaches talk to him more than other media idiots. Clearly pats coordinators are not allowed to talk to the media but in this case an exception has been made,which goes to show how much they trust reiss.Kinda improves his credibility when he gives any inside information.
Now i expect Alan Greenberg to whine on the monday morning press conf about not having access to josh mcdaniels

Good article, but Reiss needs to work on his writing a bit. For all the crap that the other guy gets (and deservedly so) he can write circles around Reiss.
