REISS: LB Eric Moore Living Out of a Hotel
By: Ian Logue

An interesting note on this Thursday afternoon. ESPNBoston.com's Mike Reiss held his weekly chat a couple of hours ago, and revealed an interesting fact....

Lots of bubble players do this around the league.

I hope he makes the team. I also understand his living out of a hotel. It's not anymore expensive than an aprtment right now.

If he leases an apartment, he's locked into a lease and responsible for the rent for the length of the lease. If he gets cut, and catches on elsewhere, he'd be on the hoof for two rent payments a month.

The hotel might cost a little more, but I understand fully what he's doing there.

BB's B&B??

Moore and Carter have the skills to give us a crazy edge rush even without Haynesworth panning out.

Goddamn I've been this excited to see the offense after an offseason of waiting but never this excited to see the defense. I am pumped to see some defensive pressure.

Moore showed flashes last year, but you gotta think he is a bubble player right now. With Ellis, Carter, and Cunningham making the roster; he is fighting it out with Anderson for that fourth spot.

I think all those 5 make it.

Eric Moore is really good.

He has a good chance to make the team, but i like that he has the attitude to take nothing for granted.

I hear ya. Against the Bucs, I was almost more excited to see the defense than I was the offense. Looking forward to how this will turn out this year!

Guy forced 2 fumbles and had 2 sacks in like what, 4 games? I haven't seen anything to make me think he's a bubble player.

Doesn't mean much this year. I think he probably makes it, but the scheme has changed since last year. Word early was neither he nor Cunningham really impressed although Cunningham is unlikely to get cut.

Don't forget that we really only have three OLB's (using the preseason alignments: Mayo, Guyton, Ninkovich) and two MLB's (Spikes, Fletcher) who are locks to make the team. It's entirely possible that we keep extra ends, especially when Cunningham and Moore could be considered hybrid players depending on our alignment.

On a side note, do the players stay in the Renaissance during camp? What about visiting teams or are most still in PVD?

I dunno what this word is, he looked really good during the TB game, just his performance was overshadowed by Carters, but both were consistently near the QB.

Sample size. He's never been good enough last a whole season with a team before, and two sacks in 4 games doesn't suddenly make him good.

I think Moore is will make the team without question. Along with Anderson.

I liked him a lot last year and he was everywhere during the last game against Tampa.

Ellis was a virtual non entity in NY until the playoffs.

.....I live in a van,down by the river:scared:

Same here. I fell in lust with Carter last week.

Maybe he needs a fan to live with...
