Randy Moss is Worth a First Pick, Easily.

Trust me I know his Numbers sucked I drafted Him with my second pick in fantasy football. so don't tell me how many guys outproduced him, it's nonsence. I'm talking about football, and your talkin rubish.
People are talking the size of his production, and you're talking the size of his name.

I'm more interested in the player, not his production or lack of, because of the lack of talent around him, what did he do with culpepper.

how good would marvin harrison's numbers of been on the raiders last year?

how good would randy's numbers be if he was in indy last year?

Bottom Line - He Changes defences like no one ever has, not rice not harrison, not t.o. not even like stanley morgan.

so BRADYMANNY2334 Give it a Rest Already with the Numbers, his value goes way beyond that, your not going to find that in a stat book, so I'm gonna Tell You Again, Randy is the MAN!!!

completey agree, i dont know if he is THE MAN!! but i would love him in foxboro. i dont really know how you stop us if moss is a patriot.

Randy Moss isn't worth the sweat off my bag!

Moss is
-A clubhouse cancer
-Lazy on the field
-An off the field (read criminal) problem
-Ridiculously overpaid and a nasty cap hit the Patriots could no longer absorb without cutting players
-Three years removed from a true #1 WR season
-30 and already well into his decline

and people want to give up a first for him?

Oh and
-He doesn't fit the Patriots WR mold: Poor route runner, relied on height/jump balls/physical dominance when he still had it, at his best wasn't that quick, a deep threat/vertical WR instead of a smurf.
-The Patriots aren't going to put that much emphasis on Moss: A 2nd and 7th for a perfect fit, young up-and-coming WR/KR like Welker is one thing, giving up salary cap space and a high draft pick for a declining (and declined) malcontent who doesn't fit your system anyway?

I wouldn't give up a 7th even if he restructured significantly. Gabriel wasn't enough of a hard worker/team guy for the Patriots and he was the best behaved out of the Oak WR.

Gabriel was the one who gave Randy such a glowing recomendation the last time all the Moss speculations came up,and we know what became of Doug.

Gabriel was supposed to be the best lockerroom guy out of all the receivers in Oakland, and he couldn't fit in with NE, so why the heck would POS Randy Moss fit in? The guy ran into a police officer.

Where's the "Just Say No" pic PatsNut had? LOL it really was worth a thousand words...

Jesus H. All these Moss threads and no one is willing to acknowledge my point that Moss' production has plummeted over the last three seasons!!

Character is debatable, production isn't. Moss is not the same threat he was in his prime.

Funny how many of you hated Moss a couple of months ago, Isnt It?

I was not a fan of bringing in Moss. His contract was murder and with him taking plays off, it seemed a horrible idea.

Now, with his pay down to 3 mil, the risk-reward is much better in line.

In fact, it was his taking that humongous pay cut that made me think twice about him. When a guy puts his money where his mouth is, you have to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not much concerned about his mooning and stuff like that. What concerned me (and still does worry me a bit) is his taking plays off. If he does that, I'm fine with cutting him.

But after listening to him, and knowing about the paycut, I think he may work out.

One thing is true: winning makes a lot of things right. It's hard to sulk when you end the game smiling.

I am really looking forward to this season, and I hope Moss is another Dillon, and not another Terrell.

My veto was based on the assumption, per the thread title, that it would cost a 1st rounder to land Randy Moss and we'd have to pay him 9M+ per year.

I never dreamed we would get him for a 4th round pick and at a bargain basement 3M salary. I'm definitely on board with Moss as a low risk acquisition. He's going to make our offense very dangerous in 2007.

here is the results of a Moss poll from earlier

spacecrime-I should note that in the thread you made the comment that you would be all for a Moss trade if it was for a mid round pick (4th round)
Yeah, but I think I also made a wise guy comment, like give up a fourth only if we get a third round back from oakland, or something goofy like that.

I know BB has twice in the past said Moss had a place on this team, but it was when we were playing against him, and I figured it was just hype-the-oponents.

I really, honestly, did not think we would trade for him.

I hope he does well, but even without him I think we had teh best offseason since I've been following the team, and that's more than 40 years.

haha reading all these moss haters is funny to me.

Hes a hall-of-fame receiver, who tore up 20Mil to play for the Patriots. If he just wanted to be useless an absorb $$ he could have did that for the raiders, for a hell of a lot more. Moss is going to amaze a lot of people, apparently.
