Leaving aside the question of whether he'd actually want to play like this, I thought Huff was going to be a decent bet to fill strong safety coming out of college. Wasn't he essentially that in Texas, leaving free safety to Michael Griffin? If I'm not mistaken, he registered over 100 tackles in his final year at UT. The guy's got size, maybe we could use him at SS.

I agree. Huff goes 210-212 lbs? I would see him for a second rounder and Dallas LB Bobby Carpenter (ILB and OLB) for our late three as Dallas is shopping him. Perhaps the same Vrabel story there. More speed and youth in the back seven that we need who might be a better bet than maybe hitting on a draft choice. Carpenter is a great ST guy too. Bye Larry Izzo.
