We just lost one of the great Boston sports icons in history...on and off the ice this is the guy you looked up to who represents everything great about the Bruins and Boston.

Besides his incredible career, he also pulled off the greatest heist in sports history in '67, getting Phil, Ken and Fred from the Hawks.

Finally, he played with and against and saw most of the greatest players in the history of hockey, and he was always refreshingly clear about the one guy who stood above all the others, by far.

Milt is quoted as saying that if there is ever a player to enter the league who is better than Bobby Orr, he hopes that the good Lord will see fit for him to be alive to see him.

The good Lord has now confirmed, there is none better.

I hope the mayor & city council publicly acknowledge Milt's passing and the contribution he has made as one of the greatest representatives, and not just for his Bruins legacy, that the city of Boston has ever had.
