I'm not really a baseball fan, just love rooting for Boston. That could change however with Cito back in Toronto.

Question: that (second-last?) pitcher for the rays: Was he bouncing the ball off the ground? That was some freaky-a$s pitching. I've seen lot's of play off games and I really don't remember seeing that before.

Can anyone explain what that is?

Sorry for being a n00b.

Chad Bradford. "Submarine" style of pitching. He drops off to the side, nearly hitting the ground. He is used for getting ground balls because of how he keeps the ball so low. (you can guess why)

I don't know how pitchers can pitch like that.
