Tried to get the answer but couldn't find one.

The Pats are on the brink of possibly getting the #1 AFC seed in 2 consecutive years....that possibility increases tremendously if SF wins tonight over Pitt.

Anyone know the answer?

Either conference will do...I just want to know how long it has been,it's been quite a long time,I imagine

...and no it wasn't the 03-04 Patriots...they were #2 in 2004

An early thanks to anyone who finds the correct info

In the AFC, not since the Bills did it in 1990 and 1991.

In the NFC, the Eagles did it three straight years in 2002, 2003 and 2004.

If those are indeed correct...Thanks

Man,it just goes to show you how hard it is to be the best team in your conference in consecutive seasons......20 years since an AFC team did it? Wow!

The really bad thing about those teams was that neither team that accomplished that feat won a SB in either year...in fact 3 of those teams I believe made it to the SB but lost every time.

The #1 seed is sexy to have per say,but far from a guaranteed reservation to the presentation of the Lombardi trophy for your team.

Hitler was a #1 seed to but he got blown out in the second round. I really don't know what means. I've just been watching a lot of Hitler reacts videos and it came to mind
