Every year there are at least 4 championship caliber teams. By obvious logic, at least three of those teams will end the season without the title. Those teams shouldn't feel entitled to the championship just because they are a top team. No, it's possible that they just lost to an equally deserving team. While it is disappointing at the time it shouldn't be looked at as a failure. There can be multiple good teams, and only one can win. It's pure logic.
Even if the Pats were one of the top four teams EVERY year you can't possibly expect them to win every year. There are just so many variables at play.
