I brought up the point on Felger's radio show that I thought Brady may have been feeling the pressure of his playoff unbeaten streak in the Denver Game. Brady seemed flustered from the very first play and he lacked some of the poise he usually shows in playoff games.

Felger was lukewarm, but Borges poop-poed this contention.

I hate to EVER say I agree with Borges but....

I wouldn't say it was the streak, but I think it was the pressure of the game. What I mean is I think Brady had this team on his back most/all of the season and when a guys has his team on his back like that they tend to do too much or try to do too much.

On top of that, I think he was burned out. He talked about working off of vapors and I think playing late into the past 2 seasons and all of the off season stuff this guys does, and no Weiss so more taking charge of meetings and more offensive stuff, and then all of the injuries...well, I think it all piled up on him and he just had nothing left in the tank.

I actually started to notice it after the Tampa game. He started to look drawn and very inaccurate with his passes. He just got too darn tired, physically and mentally.

That being said - there is NO excuse for that freak'in throw! It is a horrible memory to go into the offseason with of Brady!

LOL Imagine pointing out to other posters that you called talk radio and raised a contention so ridiculous even Borges wouldn't bite on it.....

Could it be that the guy was finally just warn out after the past 3 years of football? He talked more in the past month about being sore and tired then I've ever heard.

Do you think I was hoping Borges agreed with me? I feel completely validated.

The culmative effect of a mediocre running game. I hope they get a marquis RB in the offseason.

Drewwho almost had it - it wasn't pressure of the game though it was cumulative pressure of the season. Mental and physical. It had nothing to do with the streak. He has dealt with that mental pressure before, but the added responsibility he has assumed as a team leader as well as the leader of the offense, the increased physical abuse he took this season, the added pressure of compensating for a porus defense for the first 10 weeks of the season, and his utter frustration with an inconsistent offense that he just couldn't just fix by elevating his own game, seemed to really drag him down.

Brady's no dope. I think he knew that for some reason he was on an island this season more than ever before and try as he might he couldn't will his weapons to follow him. He was right. Guys were slow out of the blocks (perhaps some basked a tad too long in the glow of their second SB victory in two seasons), others were plagued by injuries, and they never got a chance to establish much rapore or consistency throughout the season. Remember, he was again throwing and handing off to street FA but not for just a game. The revolving door that was his supporting cast was legion. Once the defense started to gel they were solid. The offense performed in fits and starts but they never really gelled or got consistent.

The good news is I think BB recognizes all this and will do things to remedy some of the problems. I also think much like after 2002 we have a team that has tasted both victory and defeat and cannot tolerate the latter. They also have about a month more to rest up and will have fewer distractions to deal with in this offseason. Listening to Colvin this AM (and he's usually a pretty laid back guy) the angry desire to get back on the field and right the universe is palpable!

Tom had a bad game for him, that's all. There are very few of us that are perfect at everything that we do.

Right from the start I thought he looked too fired up. It seemed to work for him early on but obviously that didn't last.

:agree:Great job
All I can add is that even the great Joe Montana had awful play-off games. Brady will be back better then ever.

You don't think the thought of his playoff unbeaten streak entered his mind at all? You don't think he's ever day dreamed about being the one quarter back in history to win 13 post season games in a row and 4 super bowls in 5 years?

I'm not dissing Brady. He's human and its inevitable that those thoughts are going to enter your head.

I thought Brady played exteremely well, other than 1 play. (The 2nd Int was just desperation)
He was under fierce pressure and handled it very well. Of course you look different when you are avoiding hits, but that isnt flustered, it is rushed.

This game turned on the last 2 minutes of the first half, starting with Faulk's fumble.
Had he not fumbled (2nd and 2 I think) we were in a 2 minute drive, and the way the rest of the game went probably says we get 3, leave no time, and go to half up 6-0.
We could have easily overcome Bradys Int in that case.

He did miss open recievers several times. One was a sure TD as I recall.

I'm not dumping on him , it's just the facts.

Hey, that happens in EVERY game to EVERY QB.
