Playoff bonuses for waived players?

Recent Patriot signings and associated player cuts have caused me to wonder if/how playoff bonuses are paid to players waived during the season. Are they pro rated or is there another process at play? How about payments to players on IR?

Thanks for the link. High lever summary is that players no longer on the payroll, but active for 3 or more games, get paid. The amount is a function of the number of games played and seniority.

Interesting stuff. Off topic, but I never knew that a team was limited to fining a player $470 per lb...twice a week!
