I only wish it were true. Bill always says the "right thing" to the press on Monday, but I got to see all of those plays on replay, and anyone can confirm or deny if they have a replay. The first one COULD have been called, but it was pretty weak, and worse had already been let go. The other two were not OPI's in my opinion. In both cases the offensive player had just as much as a right to the space as the defender. The offensive player didn't turn, block, or go out of his way to hit a player like a basketball pick.
That is the way I saw the play unfold those 2 times. There was no reason to throw the flag other than you were looking for it and the defender couldn't get around the receiver running his route....as was his right. Believe me as a fan who hates all the receiver coddling, I welcome every DESERVED OPI call, even when the Pats are guilty. But now it seems like it's one of those "points of emphasis that some officials are going to call regardless of whether there is an infraction or not. It just has to be the "appearance" of a an infraction and only certain teams are getting it called.
If the officials could get their act together and let BB know what they want, and call it the same across the league, we wouldn't see it much again. As it is, I fear we will see it multi-times a game and called differently every game and totally arbitrarily.
