Phillies trading Joe Blanton to Red Sux

Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports and Jon Heyman of SI.com are reporting the Phillies and Boston Red Sox are close to a deal that would send Joe Blanton to the Sox.

No thanks. This wouldn't improve the staff at all.

Joe Blanton makes just as much money per year as Dice-K, but is a far worse pitcher. He had a 4.8 ERA and 1.4 WHIP, and doesn't win many games either. At least Dice-K knows how to win games even though he does it in the most maddening ways by never giving in to a hitter.
