Two Patriots finish top five in postseason PFF safety rankings

1. Chung ranks second and McCourty third, among all playoff safeties
2. Chung has played in FIVE Superbowls now.
3. What are the chances one or both safeties makes the HOF? This 20 year dynasty should end up having 10+ hall of famers....

On a totally random note I think Marcus Cannon has also made 5 Superbowls now
.

PFF or no, Chung, McCourty, and Harmon are all in the top 10 or so safeties in the league. Most of the people who complain about our secondary seem to have never seen another NFL team play. It's really a very good secondary. The main problem with it is an inconsistent pass rush.

Leaving PFF out of it, including the particulars of these rankings, we can see that this was an odd kind of season, in terms of ranking top safeties. For example, Berry, Collins, and Thomas are three that many would have expected to be at the top of the rankings, yet they were all knocked out of the season (or much of the season) by injury, thus opening up slots at the top for lesser safeties.

The other three are no longer playing (one Charger and two Eagles).
