Just had a question for those more knowledgable on enforcement of penalties because I am confused by this.
Remember in the NFCC when Wilson was sacked for a 12 yard loss or so in the 2nd half, then a Seahawks OL took a cheap shot after the play at a GB defender. The refs flagged him 15 yards, but they didn't tack it onto to the sack. It would have been 1st and 25 so GB was forced to decline the penalty and take the play which ended up as 2nd and 22.
Then last night, Arrington has his hands on a Seattle WR facemask BEFORE the completion which was flagged 15 yards. But this time they gave Seattle the play and tacked on the foul beyond that.
Were these ruled and enforced correctly? Because it makes no sense to me why one would tack on and the other wouldn't, especially when the one that didn't was actually AFTER the play and would make more sense to tack on.
