I'm not really knowledgeable concerning the draft but out of curiosity:

I've been hearing that Peria Jerry is a pretty nasty Defensive Tackle - is he the type of lineman who only translates to the 4-3 at the next level or could he be a candidate for our style of 3-4 defense?

To those people much wiser than myself: If Jerry falls to NE's pick do we take him?

I know D-Line isn't an immediate need but looking ahead we will need to replace one of Seymour and Wilfork (probably seymour but you never know) - could Jerry be our next stud d-lineman?

He might be able to translate to a 3-4, but he's a stud for the 4-3 team - they'll value him much higher then NE will.

Hey, I do not claim to be as good as some of the other people when it comes to the draft, but from the limited tape I have seen on him, I think he is more of a 4-3 D-lineman, but that is my take.

If you are looking for 3-4 DT, look at the 2 Boston College guys, then there is a fairly big dropoff until the next group come into play.

I like Sammy Lee Hill as a later round guy.

Yeah, I knew Raji in particular was really nasty, I just know he really has no chance of falling to us - I figured Jerry might. Thanks for the input though guys.

His counterpart will be there at 23, but for me personally that is too high to take another DL, unless they are not going to be able to resign wilfork and Seymour. If they take DT with a 1st round pick, that should be a good indication that one or both of those guys will not be back next year.
