Do not want:
Al Groh
Pepper Johnson
Carry on............
To be honest I could not think of anyone better right now
Perry Fewell is a possibility
The NFP says Matt Patricia is widely expected to be promoted to DC.
Hmmmm. Not impressed at all with the play of our LB's these last couple of seasons.
To be honest I could not think of anyone better right now, mainly because he has worked with BB before IIAC
Maybe Perry Fewell is a possibility

Were you impressed with the Pats' LB play in 2004? Yes? Pees was the LBs coach that year.

I think it was talent.
Pepper anyone? How about a Johnson instead?
I'm a little confused by those who thought Pees did a "solid" job, unless we're using "solid" to mean, "most of the time he was able to put 11 players on the field."
I'll grant that Belichick has set a high standard for defense--maybe making it difficult to be objective. But what's the job of the DC? I'd say it includes:
--Making sure the defensive unit is ready to play at the start of a game
--Adjusting to the other team's gameplan and responding accordingly
--Appropriately using the tools (players) at your disposal
--Taking the talent you're given and improving it over the course of a season
--Instilling in the unit a degree of accountability, competiveness, and toughness.
Sad to say, I think Pees failed at every one of these.

Mike Reiss just reported via Twitter, citing two sources, that Pees' contract was up at the end of the month and will not be renewed.
