Pats worked out Clinton Portis

Morris is looking less and less likely by the day to make the team

There are a few NFL players I want absolutely no part of. Ochocinco, Haynesworth and Moss were not 3 of those players. Clinton Portis is.

Can't believe they're looking at this world-class cancer.

I hear that. I really don't like Portis.

He hasnt been healthy his last two seasons but who knows

I never really saw Portis as a cancer.

He's carried the ball a **** ton throughout his career and suffered a lot of injuries. I see that as more of a reason to stay away but he wouldn't be a terrible idea if we incur some injuries.

Portis has experience and can catch the ball, which is pretty invaluable to BB at the RB spot.

The open questions are the health of Vareen and Woodhead.

Which other ex-Redskins are available?
:gossip:

Can we sign him and trade him for Champ Bailey?

It didn't appear that he had a lot left in the tank in Washington.

???
We're not looking for a starting running back. We may be looking for an emergency #4 or #5 running back.

Does Morris have "much left"? Does Faulk?

It was just an observation. He seems to have slowed down and has had a lot of injuries the past few years. I wouldn't think we're looking to find an unsigned starting caliber RB midway thru camp.

I certainly agree that Portis has slowed down, and is at best a marginal player.

Not a bad move to work out Portis at all. Here is a player who still wants to play, more importantly he still wants to win and prove his skeptics wrong. I could see him running with a chip on his shoulder like LT did for the Jets last season. He would not be a cancer in the locker room because he wants a shot to raise that Lombardi Trophy. I think he would respect Brady since it would be the best quarterback he has played with in his career.

Clinto Portis?

Not only NO, but H3LL NO.

A signing wouldn't be a good sign for Vareen. I'm starting to worry.

World has it... Billy Kilmer may be signed by Jim Kock of Sam Adams
to be a key taste tester of the Patriots Home Brew Contest.
