Pats RB match Elliott

I would personally drive our entire compliment of backs to the airport in exchange for Elliot.
It's such a ridiculously deep RB group in the draft this year I can't wait to see what we do there.

The biggest difference is that Elliott faced eight men in the box every single down. No one respects prescott's ability to throw. That Dallas o Lin is just that good.

Our backs only have to face seven in the box because of Brady's presence.

ACYYPC: always check your yards per carry.

Did Elliott's back-up spell him at all? Not even during a blow out? Why not also
add in contributions from Alfred Morris and Darren McFadden?

Most likely nothing, we need more depth on defense and possibly a strong safety. We might need another pass rusher too...

Well Blount is a FA so we're doing something even if it's just bringing the same group back.

Honestly Blount has had an ok year, but he is averaging like 3.9 ypc.. thats not very good. And he will be 31 next season. If I were the Pats I would be looking at a big physical back in the draft. They ran Blount a lot this season.. lots of carries, shooting every bullet in that gun.

I expect that they will get him back cheap, wrong side of 30 and the whole Pittsburgh thing

4.1 vs. 4.9 YPC, Dallas has the greatest O line according to pundits..

I like Elliot, but our group is similarly efficient..

Elliot 30 pass receptions for 363 yards and 1 TD.

Blount, White and Lewis.. 84 pass receptions 683 yards and 5 TD's...

Blount 18 Rushing TD's, Elliot 15 Rushing TD's...

Blount, White and Lewis 3 fumbles.. Elliot 5 fumbles.

This is the same argument that goes on ad infinitum, comparable to what team has the best defense.. I like Elliot, but like our guys better as they fit our offense.

I'd rather not have a single point of failure in case of injury..
Good Point.

But, also consider that you somewhat limit your offense/reveal your hand when you have a specific RB in the backfield
Blount: most likely a run or in to block
White: Not a serious running threat, but good receiver
Dion: Slightly more balanced than White, but fairly similar

We are more than fine w what we have. EE is better, but (1) if he gets hurt, they are screwed (2) he is running behind an amazing line (3) we need to stop looking at the what the neighbours have and start appreciating what we have. Cause what we have is rings.
