I am traveling through Mass. in late July and was thinking about stopping in Foxboro to see the stadium and stuff. Does anyone know the practice schedule and are practices open to the public? Any other info would be great!

They are open to the public but the schedule will not be released until late June.

When the Pats were planning on going to China, Camp was supposedly going to be starting the 2nd to last week in July. More than likely, its been moved back a week. Also, not all practices are open to the public.

They usually start around the 26th-27th of the month....usually a Friday..so MY guess would be the 27th...it's hard to say what the schedule will be as its usually two a days and then one practice the next...meaning if Day one is one practice, mid day and then the next day early (8:30ish) and late (4PM ish). And if there is rain, that changes things as well. Really have to play it by ear...

the first preseason game is 8/10. There is usually two weeks of practice before that so it will probably be around the 25th when TC starts.

Keep an eye on the Pats home page, they will post the schedule and more importantly, a phone # that you can call (highly recommended!!) to check if practice times are still valid. They often change at last min, or change from a 2 a day to a 1.

It's really worth catching; I go multiple times every year. They practice right next to the stadium and there are bleachers there. After practice certain team members, usually by position, come over to the fence and sign autographs. The Pro Shop is open, and they sell food (but not cheaply). The stadium has never been open to the public when I've been there, but you can get a little taste of what it's like inside by looking through the gates on the lower level. If you have kids, they have the NFL Experience going (inflatable games, etc.) and sometimes the Punt, Pass & Kick tryouts as well. It's a good time; I hope you get a chance to see it. Calling first is a good idea as sometimes practice times change.

On rain dates, the stadium is open and one views the bubble practice on large screens...and another time..I think 2 years ago.. they had a stadium practice that was open to the public...and NO NOT the one for season ticket holders...yes it is always great fun!! And on the hill..where one can see a lot there's teh media tent..with the scribes close at hand..always fun to chat with them..
