Pats front office at the deadline

Personably I was expecting a little more from *Bourne* and less chatter from him *snitch*. I think he had more than enough time to knock the rust off, I'm fearing he might be done and we're seeing his end game. We could save close to $20 Mill if we can trade him.
Not sure where you're getting those numbers. His base salary of $1.3M this year is guaranteed so if we trade him we clear the prorated amount of that for the rest of the year, but his roster spot gets filled by someone else so the savings there would be negligible assuming they signed some minimum salary practice squad elevation type. He does have per game roster bonuses so we'd save whatever of those he could still earn ($50K/game).

All together, salary savings this year would be probably $500K-$1M if we replaced him with a practice squad elevation that has no per game bonuses. And he has no money guaranteed after this year so trading him now doesn't save us any extra money we couldn't just get by cutting him this offseason.

Should we swap Bourne for Meyers and a sixth round pick or 2026 fifth round pick . That would be a steal.

I would do it: but that would leave the Raiders bare @ WR. I was so wrong on Meyers what a consistent player. I would offer the Raiders a Fourth if we could get him back, nothing like proven player compared to the garbage we have.

Not sure if the rumor is true that he's available, but Jack Conklin from Cleveland would be a temporary solution at RT until Wallace was up to speed. Probably could be had for a 4th or 5th if available.

Saw Cam Robinson was traded to the Vikings. Solid pick up for them and another suitor probably off the market for next free agency.

Meanwhile we have no sure answer at LT. Anyone else think a 5th round pick would of been a huge win for Drake Mayes health?

I don’t know the specifics if they took a flyer or not but wow.
All I can think of is his contract is up at the end of the year and they didn't want a 9 game rental for a 4th or 5th rounder. If he was extended that would be a great trade.

I can agree with that. Signabiltiy may have been a issue.

Damn man robinson for a 4th with a 7th in return i would’ve done that all day! Call the rams about alaric jackson pleeease
Big fan of Alaric as a stop gap short term signing. Main reason is he is a solid player, other is some of these big dawgs coming out like Will Cambell and Kelvin Banks are showing cracks. LT is a huge need but if your draft pick is top 3, there are some special players that warrant the bypass in my opinion. Hunter, Jeanty, McMillan or Burden are rare talents who will be hard to pass on. All 4 are big time playmakers which we lack.

I have been pimping Cam Robinson but Wolf is asleep because we have Hofer's currently playing there. I wish Wolf nothing but disaster as a GM he's a joke.

Would love to be in position to splurge with bpa on that first pick . We need a true impact player and like you said both tackles might be unworthy of being taken top 5.

Filling LT for the next 3-4 years at the cost of a 4th and extending cam / alaric at 4 years /70m ish seemed like a no brainer. I hope the below is accurate and we’re exploring other deals. If you can land a player who will contribute to our future on a bargain you gotta go for it.

I was okay with passing on last years fa class but cam seemed like a bargain. Hope im wrong , or they are eyeing other talent that will support drake

Diggs done for the year we should move either Tyquan or Bourne... Texans getting a little thin there.

I’ve seen enough of Maye to warrant a trade for a legit #1 WR, the sooner this happens the better.

Could be that the Jags never made the Pats an offer..

Remember. It takes 2 to tango.

dont we have the most cap space of any team though? if he's a viable starting LT, why wouldnt we trade and sign him! Take pressure out of the draft and let Drake survive the season.

Rubbish: practice squadders and marginal NFL players are more our liking.
