Pats considering Butler trade to Saints for Brandin Cooks

What if they are happy with him playing for his contract next year and then will address it after the season? Kind of seems like we are forgetting the whole, under contract this year part. Why should the Patriots be in contact with his agent?

I blame butler and his agent 100%. He would have reduced his injury risk if he signed an extension a year ago for reasonable money. Makes no sense. If he had been injured last year, tragic for him.

I wonder how much of the interest in Cooks is coming from what they saw against the Cover 3 in the SB? Quinn from the Carroll tree, does BB see more teams moving to that formation against our offense and anticipate the need for stronger outside receivers?

And I wonder how much interest is coming from New Orleans and not New England. Pats are usually pretty quiet about this stuff and for some reason, everything about this trade is in the public. Not completely sure I am buying it.
