It's become almost an annual event with the Patriots that a UDFA makes the team. Going back to Randall Gay and Mike Wright through Malcolm Butler and Jonathan Jones..

Who do you think will be a UDFA and that the Pats should look at..

DB:
  • Joshua Holsey is my number one choice
  • Treston DeCoud as a S/CB hybrid, if not picked in the 7th
  • Leon McQuay III (we've met with him already)

OT:
  • Jerry Ugokwe could be interesting (late round developmental swing tackle)
  • Ditto Dimitric Camiel; if not for injuries, could be RT #1 IMO

LB:
  • Jimmie Gilbert (ST / coverage guy)
  • Paul Magloire Jr.
RB:
  • Elijah Hood
  • Aaron Jones
We'll know more after the Combine. Some of the unranked guys might skyrocket after testing well (Delano Hill, for example, listed at #313 by CBS Sports).

Just a suggestion - hope you don't mind:
Can you change the title into something like .. 2017 Patriots UDFA prospects .. because I beleive this thread could stick around like the 2017 Draft Prospect Thread and the title would be more in line with this kind of threads here (also easier to locate w shorter name..)

Good list. I really don't think Cutrer or Mack Hollins go undrafted though. Both are getting some buzz and I expect them to be early-mid day three picks.

Agreed. But - as mentioned - they are falling on some boards towards the bottom of Day 3 . and since they are on two positions that are deep and tend to fall I included them just in case..

Interesting that James Onwualu was a captain at Notre Dame. And from you mentioned, he seems to be a Swiss Army Knife type player.. That type of player is something that BB looks for..

Keep Mack Hollins in mind too, as Long Distance mentioned. He's a 6'4" pretty fast WR with good hands but his real appeal as a potential Patriot is that he's a very good special teamer and, was captain of the NC special teams for four years including his freshman year. That's quite the achievement. Onwualu is very Patriot-y too.

Your Patriot-y made me think of a situation where NE scout is interviewing prospects - always with the same old opening line: "There are two kinds of players in this league: idiotic and patriotic. Which one you're gonna be, punk?“

Mack Hollins is my binke and BB will draft him in rd5

You know binkies. Once you have them, they're yours for life. There is no logic to a binky pick.
Funny they say the same regarding marrige, still more and more split

And if you are lucky BB trades for your binkie when he is on other team or sign him in FA. Like with Eric Rowe in my case. But i dont want for Mack Hollins to be on some other team.
