New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick has called the Watertown Police Department, asking for Watertown police hats for his team to wear during the NFL draft this week.

Belichick specifically asked for an oversized Watertown police sweatshirt, Deveau said.

I thought that Kevin Faulk had already been named to announce the selection, but that is for the second pick.

Faulk's appearance is part of the league's initiative, started in 2011, in which 32 "legendary" alumni announce second- or third-round draft choices at Radio City Music Hall.

Faulk, who played for the Patriots from 1999-2011, was arguably the franchise's best-ever "third-down/passing back." He was a key member of three Super Bowl championship teams.​
